Watching this after The Cabin in the Woods probably didn’t do my opinion of it any favours.
The plot just outright doesn’t work for me. The characters appeal to their backgrounds and have flashbacks but they all just seem so flat; like they have one defining attribute and that one aspect is just repeated over and over again. The news reports look like badly staged imitations, but none of the characters seem to notice that, even when they’re critical to everything that’s happening.
