A wonderful film. Denis Villeneuve does a great job of making everything seem appropriately big: it feels like the world is in turmoil, that events are significant, etc, but without it being over-the-top. The plot is clever, and gives you bits to piece together after you’re done. The soundtrack adds emotion in all the right places. My only problem with it is it’s a shade too slow in the middle: there’s a bit too much exposition, and it struggles to hold my attention.
